Disappointed, but not surprised

Latest blog post – I have to say that I am disappointed, but not surprised by the action of my former rival, and 10-year incumbent in the election for House District 12 seat in the General Assembly.

One would think that members of the Republican Party would seek to turn off or shut down every program and policy that serves as a magnet for illegal immigration in the state of Tennessee. Maybe a true Republican, or what the state GOP considers a “Bona Fide” Republican, would stand by constitutional principles and not work to dilute our birthright citizenship, yet here we are. I would like to say “I told you so”, but we need to get beyond that.

The state GOP keeps actual “bona fide” Republicans from running and protecting incumbents with their extra-constitutional residency requirements, along with their pay to play fees to receive permission to run as a member of the GOP. This is what happens folks. Maybe next time voters will actually look beyond the “R” after someone’s name on the ballot before voting.

Residents here in Sevier County should contact Representative Carr and let him know how you feel about this bill that will not only serve as a magnet for illegal aliens, but also human trafficking, and by keeping the labor pool filled with foreign workers instead of legal citizens looking for employment.
