This Saturday will be the final “Weekend Update” episode produced on the podcast for the foreseeable future. I am exploring additional ventures for sharing information as I write this post that I believe the audience, especially here in Sevier County, will be excited to learn about. Details will be forthcoming as I learn more.
Now that the campaign is over and I switch tactics towards increasing transparency with elected representatives that are supposed to work for, not against, their constituents – I feel that my efforts at informing the audience would best be served with a single weekly episode of the podcast. It will also allow me to maximize my time for research, attending meetings, and constitutional conservative advocacy by producing a single episode while exploring the new options that I was just made aware of.
I am extremely grateful for my regular listeners, especially the ones here in Sevier County. There is much work to be done over the course of the next two years. The majority of it will be to inform the residents of this County on all the machinations of our local and state government, and our responsibility and role in reining it in. While most of the issues I will be addressing deal with Sevier County, Tennessee, there are probably similar issues where all the listeners reside. My goal is to use this podcast platform to get as many citizens as possible to take a Stand in the Arena to regain our sovereignty from the usurpers in government as possible.
Here comes the ask folks. I need you to share the information I discuss with as many people as possible. The topics of (our) liberty, (servant) leadership, and (government) lies needs to spread all across the country. It does not take much effort at all to do that. Stop thinking that religion and politics are off-limits discussions. You can also share the podcast with people you know. Heck, even with people you don’t know. There are more of us citizens than there are elected officials and they need to be reminded of that every day.
The “red wave” that wasn’t this past election on serves to reinforce my point. The irregularities in some states can no longer be tolerated. It will take activism on everybody’s part to fix systems in other states, as well as prevent them from coming to my beloved Volunteer State.
Two verses from God’s book of wisdom (Proverbs) that I heard in last night’s message at church struck me hard. While the series my church is in right now is dealing with marriage and other familial relationships, including our relationship with our Creator and Savior – they also apply to the condition of our Republic right now. Miraculous how that is so, right? God’s wisdom applies to ALL FACETS of our lives.
The first verse is Proverbs 10:4 – Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. Wealth isn’t just material things like money, cars, boats, houses, etc. Wealth is also the ability to exercise God’s gift of free will. The sovereigns in our Constitutional Republic have become lazy in the participation in our self-governance. Not only has that contributed in the loss of material wealth, it has cost us a lot of the liberty that government is instituted to secure. We need to regain that diligence. We need to encourage each other to participate again. There is wealth in liberty.
The second verse is Proverbs 3:13 – Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. I highlighted the word find because that is an action. It takes effort. For generations, little effort has went into finding wisdom, to actively seek out information about candidates and the workings of a government that only uses us and no longer serves us. When more us gain that understanding, the yield in freedom will surpass material wealth.
Let’s all seek out and find wisdom. I will continue to help share the information on this blog, my podcast, and hopefully on new venues to come. Subscribe (for free) to this blog on libertyleadershipandlies.com and share it with your contact lists and friends/followers lists on social media.
I pray that each and every one of you that reads this post has a wonderful remainder of the week and that you continue standing in the arena with. God bless you all.
Yours in Liberty – Larry.
