If you listen to the podcast you should know that the timing is suspect in this. On September 28th, 2022 several members of the General Assembly signed and transmitted a letter to Vanderbilt University Medical, expressing concern over the child mutilation for profit happening there. I guess it takes the GA four years to build up concern over this terrible activity, because the VUMC has doing this “gender affirming” care since 2018.
The most likely reason for the GA’s recent concern is because most Tennesseans are now aware of this happening. Despite there being bills brought up in the GA to stop this in the past.
