Letter to TN State Leadership

Governor / Senator / Representative,
When will Tennessee assert itself with regard to its standing on the issue of illegal immigration.  The Biden Administration is clearly in violation of Title 8, U.S.C. § 1324(a).
Specifically, Title 8, U.S.C. Section 1324(a) defines several distinct offenses related to aliens. Subsection 1324(a)(1)(i)-(v) prohibits alien smuggling, domestic transportation of unauthorized aliens, concealing or harboring unauthorized aliens, encouraging or inducing unauthorized aliens to enter the United States, and engaging in a conspiracy or aiding and abetting any of the preceding acts. Subsection 1324(a)(2) prohibits bringing or attempting to bring unauthorized aliens to the United States in any manner whatsoever, even at a designated port of entry. (emphasis added)
I have written to all three of my federal representatives, only receiving a general response from two of them (of course Senator Blackburn is AWOL on responding as usual).
It is high time every state asserts themselves as the parent of the federal government and holds them accountable to following the Constitution of the United States of America and the laws which were passed in Congress. Especially now given their light-speed approach to undermining our culture, laws, and norms. I am specifically referring to the more than 70 presidential executive orders, proclamations, etc., and the Congress’s actions on packing the Supreme Court of the United States as well as passing unconstitutional legislation with regard to federalizing election laws and granting statehood to the District of Columbia.
When will enough be enough? Is Tennessee’s leadership willing to stand by while the Biden Administration and the Congress completely destroy our Constitutional Republic? Numerous other states are taking a stand, while it seems we are seating in the nosebleed section of the arena waiting for us to be eaten last.
The Tennessee legislature has a GOP Supermajority and the Governor’s office. Start acting like it. Or, are you all just Republicans in name only, Transpublicans?
Are you going to fight for your constituents? There will be a point of no return. History has plenty of examples of that. DO your jobs and not let that happen.  Stand up! Be the man in the arena. Fight for us, or we will no longer fight for you!
